WatfordWe’re working with a major infrastructure contractor who are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Watford. This role will see you take responsibility for the design, management, and delivery of drainage and SuDS solutions across a range of urban development and infrastructure projects.You’ll play a key part in mitigating flood risk, improving environmental quality, and driving forward sustainable solutions - all while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.The role:Lead the design and delivery of drainage and SuDS systems (attenuation ponds, swales, permeable pavements, green roofs)Carry out hydraulic/hydrological modelling and prepare drainage strategies, reports, and specifications in line with DMRB, CIRIA, and SuDS ManualAdvise clients and project teams on compliance, sustainability, and best practiceIntegrate SuDS with highways, landscaping, and utilitiesMentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing teamAbout you:Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related disciplineChartered Engineer (or working towards) preferredProven experience delivering drainage and SuDS projectsProficient with drainage modelling software (MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, ICM, or similar)Strong knowledge of UK legislation and design standardsExcellent communication and project management skillsWhat’s on offer:Excellent benefits package (private healthcare, benefits portal)26 days holidayCareer progression opportunities with a leading contractorThe chance to work on high-profile infrastructure projects with a focus on sustainabilityThis is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer to take the lead on SuDS and drainage design within a respected highways and infrastructure team.Seniority level
