Supply Desk is currently seeking a dynamic and committed Maths Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Watford. This full-time position is available for a September start, offering a fantastic opportunity to motivate and inspire students in a school with a strong emphasis on academic achievement and personal development.

Job Description:

• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 teaching may also be available depending on experience).
• Plan, prepare, and assess engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Use innovative and differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
• Monitor student progress and provide targeted interventions and feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom management and promote a positive learning environment.
• Work closely with colleagues in the Maths department to develop and share resources.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to the wider school community.
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to support learning and development.
• Take an active role in extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes, if desired.

Our ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a specialism in Maths.
• Have experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting (experience preferred but not essential for ECTs).
• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the subject.
• Be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
• Have strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Be an effective communicator and team player.
• Be committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a clear DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
• Be open to further training and ongoing professional development.
