Project Procurement Lead - 12 month contract - Slough

The Project Procurement Lead manages procurement activities for assigned investment projects and coordinates planning and execution at the designated site. The Project Procurement Lead holds strategic responsibility for procurement of goods and services for the construction of manufacturing, laboratory and office facilities for projects of values between £5 million and £500 million.To be considered for an interview, please make sure your application is full in line with the job specs as found below.

Pay rate: £60-80 p/h DOE
Based: On-site in Slough
Potential permanent conversion!Key responsibilities:- Development of Procurement Execution Strategy and coordination of procurement activities for assigned investment projects.- End-to-end commercial ownership of procurement, expediting, contract management and closeout of contracts for;o Goods: Process equipment, electrical equipment, AHU’s, black utilities pumps and valves, lab equipment, furniture, consumables, pumps and automation systems and spare parts for aboveo Services such as: Construction, piping, HVAC, electrical and cleanroom fit-out, consulting, engineering and planning- Active management of the Procurement Master Plan (PMP) during project execution to ensure timely project reporting, identification and mitigation of risks- Close collaboration with a multitude of stakeholders such as:o Procurement team (category owners, buyers, order managers and contract managers)o In-house procurement management and category managemento Project Director or Managers, engineers and subject matter experts dedicated to projectso Support functions such as Quality, EHS, Legal, Finance, HR etc.o Key third party collaborators including EPCM, EPC or main trade or equipment suppliersKey requirements:- Capex project / procurement management ? 10 years - pharma / biotech sectors an advantage- Experience in plant construction as well as in the areas of procurement, sales, contract Languages: Required: English fluent; Advantage: German- Team player with ability to communicate and work efficiently in matrix organizations and interdisciplinary teams- Excellent business mindset, strategic, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills- Initiative and resilience – ability to work in an exciting, ever changing environment- Technical training (ETH or FH) or similar in process, chemical, mechanical, civil or plant engineering an advantageMUST have experience: Procurement on large CAPEX projects, pharmaceutical sector preferred
