A Leading Construction Contractor is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Birmingham

The main objective of this role is to manage the Post contract commercial management for a large construction framework.

You will:

• Identify and interpret contractual exposure on completed framework projects.
• Understanding liability and cost recovery opportunities from the supply chain.
• Some traditional QS related tasks on new framework projects, mainly variations, cost planning / forecasting, and risk mitigation.
• Review life cycle costings and support with cost recovery exercises for delays and disruption.
• Manage reporting for completed and live projects.
• Wide variety of stakeholder management, across Subcontractors, Consultants, Client and legal teams.

Managing 4-5 live jobs at any one time worth a few million to tens of million, projects range from new building works, building refurbishments to car park improvements.

You will be managing very challenging contracts, various claims and disputes on a confidential project on this -100m+ framework.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for aa Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a career move.

They are also keen to speak with experienced Quantity Surveyors looking for career progression.

You will have 5+ years commercial experience working for a top 50 main contractor.

Ideally you will have strong experience managing claims / arbitration.

You will have a strong building background managing -3050m new build projects in a tier 1 environment.
