Maintenance Engineer Job Overview Performing preventative maintenance routines and condition monitoring of production machinery and facilities as per the maintenance schedules.Liaising closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and operations staff in all aspects to ensure efficient, effective and planned reactive maintenance at all timesMaking safety inspections of tools and equipmentDiagnosing faults and repairing machines in a safe manner to minimise downtime and costAnticipating machine failures and making such changes or recommendations to prevent re-occurrence and to minimise downtimeWorking to improve reliability and productivity of equipmentCompleting written records of all maintenance activitiesCarrying out maintenance tasks diligently and in good time using appropriate methodology Maintenance Engineer Job Requirements Good mechanical and electrical skills.Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge, along with PLC, inverter, instrumentation and control experience.Knowledge of various mechanical drive arrangementsUK driving license and have experience in a heavy industrial environment.Fabrication skills including welding, plasma cutting and power toolsBased in a commutable distance of Kentford, Suffolk Maintenance Eng
