Senior Product Manager - Made Tech
Location: Any UK Office Hub (Bristol / London / Manchester / Swansea) • Employment type: Permanent • Workplace: Hybrid • Compensation: £50,500 - £65,000 / yearhackajob in collaboration with Made Tech connects exceptional tech professionals with public sector roles. Our aim is to use human-centred technology to improve public services and outcomes. Senior Product Managers enable public sector organisations to design services that improve society. You will lead on product within a client delivery team, working in cross-functional settings with Made Tech team members, stakeholders and partner agencies. You will inspire trust, guide and coach teams through the product process and continuously iterate and improve ways of working and processes.ResponsibilitiesWork in a self-initiated, collaborative and inclusive manner with support from senior team membersCollaborate with and influence the wider Made Tech team and clients to deliver high quality work aligned with customer vision and needsInfluence decisions impacting team success, including scoping work, prioritisation, deadlines, budgets and risk evaluationWork across one assignment for a client at a timeCoach and support more junior Product team members to deliver high quality outputs and deliverablesMaintain broad technical knowledge of product management and develop knowledge of user-centred design and technical practice; help shape strategy, proposals, statements of work and roadmapsContribute to Made Tech’s community of practice for Product and collaborate with other disciplinesAssist in developing and growing the discipline to embed product-led and design thinking in our workSkills People Must HaveExcellent understanding and articulation of the value of product and user-centred designExperience delivering user-centred products and services from ideation through to maintenanceAbility to coach others to grow their skills and take on more responsibility for client-facing projectsAbility to educate and mentor team members on product and agile delivery as core disciplinesExperience working directly with customers and users to drive excellent outcomesExperience in a design consultancy or senior product leadership role in the public sector, health or allied areasStrong empathy and relationship-building skillsDesirable (not Essential) SkillsExperience working with sales teams to build client relationships and win new workOpen communication within teams, sharing progress frequentlyExperience redesigning legacy services and productsKnowledge of product, design and research techniquesExperience in line managementSC EligibilityAn increasing number of our customers require SC clearance. Eligible candidates will be considered for roles requiring SC. Eligibility requires 5 years UK residency and 5 years employment history (or back to full-time education).
