Principle Technical Program Manager, MADS Traffic Reporting
Passionate about Big Data and Distributed Systems? Interested in building new state-of-the-art products at Petabyte scale? Be part of a team of industry-leading experts operating one of the largest big data analytics platforms at Amazon. We handle end-to-end processing of impressions, views, and clicks, using the latest machine learning and big data technologies on terabytes of data daily (about 100 billion new events per day), managing Petabyte-scale clusters. Our data must be the fastest, highest fidelity, as it is billable, critical for campaign monitoring, and measures campaign success.Candidates should demonstrate leadership, analytical abilities, and a drive to deliver results. This role requires deep technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Key Responsibilities:
Own the successful delivery of large, high-impact, and cross-functional product initiatives while managing smaller projectsDrive strategic planning, discovery, and prioritization by partnering with product managers and engineering leads to develop roadmaps, identify dependencies, and plan resourcesClarify underlying requirements of feature requests; recommend technical approaches and lead engineering efforts to meet deadlinesCommunicate plans, status, and critical issues effectively to executive managementServe as a technical liaison between customers and engineering teamsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams7+ years of technical product or program management experience5+ years of software development experienceExperience designing or architecting systems (patterns, reliability, scaling)Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating releasesOwnership of roadmap strategy and definitionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
