SEMH Teaching Assistant
Our client, a leading educational institution in Bristol, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ensuring they receive the guidance and support necessary to thrive in their educational journey. Work closely with the classroom teacher to develop and implement individualised support plans for students with SEMH needs Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and encourages student engagement Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with the classroom teacher and other relevant staff Collaborate with external agencies and professionals, such as educational psychologists and therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to student support Assist in the development and delivery of behaviour management strategies, promoting positive behaviour and addressing challenging behaviours when necessary Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning materials and resources that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with SEMH needs Level 3 Te
