Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced -Principal Solution Architect to join our dynamic team in Reading, UK. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in Application Architecture and will be responsible for designing and implementing robust application solutions that align with our business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of software development processes and architecture best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop application architecture frameworks that support business goals and enhance system performance.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.
• Lead architectural discussions and design reviews, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Conduct performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting of applications.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the application architecture remains relevant and competitive.
• Document architecture designs, decisions, and processes for future reference and compliance.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven expertise in Application Architecture with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
• In depth knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, etc.).
• Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
• Experience with API design and integration, including RESTful and SOAP services.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
• Knowledge of data architecture and database design principles.
• Experience in leading large scale application development projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master''s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in software development and application architecture.
• Relevant certifications in architecture or cloud technologies are a plus.
