Test Engineer

Salary: Up to £40,000 Bonus
Hours: Day shifts 
Location: Hook 

 Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and operate a range of advanced test equipment and systems
• Execute functional, environmental, and performance testing procedures
• Diagnose faults down to component level and implement effective corrective solutions
• Accurately document test results, anomalies, and resolution actions
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation
• Ensure test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance
• Work closely with engineering and quality teams to enhance product reliability
• Comply with all safety standards and operational protocols

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in electronics testing or engineering roles
• Demonstrated ability in fault diagnosis and component-level troubleshooting
• Industry background in SMT, aerospace, automotive, or electronics manufacturing
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and root cause analysis
• Experience with automated test platforms such as ICT and functional testers
• Familiarity with ISO standards or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous
