Associate - Hydrology

The Hydrology team at RPS handles all aspects of water environmental development issues. We support planning applications for housing developments, covering drainage design, flood risk, Nutrient Neutrality, and WFD. We also support DCO projects, including road, rail, energy projects, and water company initiatives.Key responsibilities:
EssentialDelivering Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Design, and planning applications with understanding and in-depth experience.DesirableFlow modelling from conceptual to detailed design using recognised UK packages.Consulting with Local Planning Authorities, Lead Local Flood Authorities, Water Companies, and Regulators.Conducting site walkovers and technical duties.Supporting Flood Risk Assessments and Environmental Statements.Assisting in bid preparation and fee proposals.Researching and developing new client relationships.Attending client and regulatory meetings.Staying updated on drainage design trends and techniques.Mentoring junior staff and improving team capabilities.You should have around 10+ years of experience, preferably be chartered with ICE or CIWEM (CEng or CSci), and be interested in project delivery and team management. You should be comfortable managing larger projects and liaising with clients.We are a Disability Confident employer.
