Job Title: Temporary Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering

Hours: 21 contact hours per week
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to students at Level 2 and Level 3. The role involves teaching, training, and assessing learners across a variety of learning environments, with a focus on developing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess teaching sessions in Mechanical Engineering at Level 2 and Level 3.
- Support learners in developing knowledge and skills in areas including hand fitting, turning, and milling (preferred but not essential).
- Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that inspires students to achieve.
- Monitor, assess, and provide feedback on student progress.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and development as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.
- Practical skills in hand fitting, with turning and milling experience desirable but not essential.
- Prior teaching experience in schools, further education, or higher education is desired.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Level 3 qualification in Engineering (or equivalent).
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
Contract Details
- 21 contact hours per week.
- Temporary position.
