GSL Education are currently seeking a Post 16 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and inclusive educational setting in Ashington.Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for learners across a range of subjects and activities.Assist students with special educational needs (SEN) and additional learning needs.Help implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)Support the delivery of practical, vocational, and enterprise-based learningPromote independence, confidence, and self-esteem in students.Encourage engagement, positive behaviour, and participation.Liaise effectively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals. Job Requirements: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.Experience or understanding of supporting students with SEN is desirable.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) are advantageous.
