TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of SEND schools in Nottingham, supporting with their recruitment for a SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND TA. The settings are centred on pupil s development, as well as an intrinsic desire to make progress both academically and with their own emotional, social and behavioural skills.The schools are seeking a passionate team player to take on this short-term role, although there is potential for this to become a long-term placement for the right SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND TA. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND TA will bring a new dimension and skill set to this role, be keen to develop their own skills to adapt to the children s individual needs and have a positive impact on the wider school.The position will involve working with students on a 1 to 1 basis across all Key Stages with diagnosis of Autism / ASD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.The successful SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND TA will have: Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent is desirableExperience working with children with additional needs / disabilitiesExperience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behavioursTeam-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable In return for the above you can expect to receive: A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to help you with the easy onboarding proces
