Negotiable Salary + 33 days Holiday This is a hands on Build Test Technician position that requires higher than average hand soldering skills and good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope. The Technician will perform test bench setup and calibration, testing and troubleshooting of medium to highly complex X-band modules, including band-pass filters, microwave amplifiers, high-power, microwave transistors, splitters and combiners and assembly of complete X-band transceivers. The Technician will possess either knowledge of RF expertise or Digital Electronics or ideally both with measurements, and familiarity with using Network and Spectrum Analysers, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, RF Sources and other equipment used in the testing of microwave components and modules. The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of electronics construction and a strong aptitude and interest in working with test equipment. The role is based at our Stoke on Trent facility travel in the UK and overseas may be required from time to time and some flexibility to be open to overtime at to help with busy periods would be a major plus which will also open significant increases to the Salary. The basic Salary for the Technician will be in the region of £55 to £60,000 + bonus and of course overtime as mentioned.
