NextGen Teachers are recruiting for a Primary Teacher (KS1 / KS2) to join a specialist SEMH independent school in West Sussex from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Primary Teacher looking to move into SEND or SEMH education, or for someone with existing specialist experience seeking a supportive and rewarding school environment.
The school offers small class sizes, strong teaching assistant support and a therapeutic approach, allowing teachers to focus on building relationships, personalised learning and meaningful progress for every pupil.
The Role
- Deliver engaging KS1 / KS2 lessons
- Adapt learning to support EHCP outcomes and individual needs
- Support pupils with SEMH, communication and learning needs
- Create a calm, structured and supportive classroom
- Work closely with teaching assistants and the wider school team
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching KS1 or KS2
- Interest or experience in SEMH / SEND
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- A patient, resilient and supportive teaching style
