Transport Supervisor - PM Shift

Pertemps is currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Supervisor for our Distbution client based in Milton Keynes.

As a Transport Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our company’s fleet. You will ensure all transport and vehicle servicing requirements comply with both company policy and legislation, overseeing key areas such as tachographs, vehicle defect management, and security features.

Hours: 1:00pm - 9:30pm

Salary: up to £33,000 (DOE)

Contract: Perm

Duties:

- Over seeing vehicle inspections, maintenance and repairs
- Ensuring all operations, driver hours and vehicle's comply with transportation laws and regulations.
- Oversee and manage staff, HGVS and Van drivers
- Implement and enforce safety programs and procedures to create a safe work environment.
- Maintain clear communication with drivers, customers, suppliers, and senior management.
- Act as a point of contact to resolve transportation-related issues and customer complaints
- Carryout pre-brief and de-brief before start and end of shifts
- Helping manage schedules, rotas, and team performance

Requirements:

- Previous transport supervisory experience
- Confident in transportation laws and regulations
- Proficient in internal CRMs system
- Excellent communication skills
