This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by helping residents sustain their tenancies and ensuring the effective management of rental income for approximately 360 properties.Income OfficerPublic Sector - Local Authority Full Time - Monday to Friday, 36 hours per weekTemporary Role - to the end of March 2026Grade 9 - 22.41 per hour PAYE / 29.60 per hour UmbrellaHybrid Working - 3 days per week in office, 2 days at homeASAP startRole OverviewAs an Income Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring effective rent collection and arrears recovery. You will proactively support tenants in preventing arrears, promoting financial inclusion, and upholding the organisation''s income management policies in alignment with best practises and relevant income legislation. Reporting to the LLP Property and Tenancy Manager, you will deliver a high-quality income and rental management service with a customer-focused approach.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor rent accounts to identify arrears and take prompt action per the arrears recovery policy.Negotiate affordable repayment agreements and ensure adherence with tenants.Prepare and issue legal documents and liaise with courts for possession proceedings.Provide guidance to tenants on rent responsibilities, Universal Credit, and other welfare entitlements.Maintain accurate records on the income management system and prepare performance
