Mental Health Support Worker

Job Title: Learning Disability / Mental Health Support Worker (Private Mental Health Hospital) Location: Nottingham Contract Type: Agency / Part-time Shifts: Days / Nights / Weekends available About the Role: We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team, providing person-centred care to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and/or mental health needs. You will play a vital role in empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities: Supporting clients with daily living skills, personal care, and social activities Promoting independence and choice Supporting individuals with emotional regulation and managing behaviours of concern Maintaining accurate records and following care plans Working collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams Implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies where applicable Requirements: Previous experience - 6 months minimum - supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Empathetic, reliable, and committed to person-centred care Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to obtain one) Up-to-date mandatory training (or willingness to complete) Desirable: Experience with autism, ADHD, complex behaviours,
