This is achieved by maintaining an up-to-date, fully supported, and resilient internal network infrastructure.This is a hybrid position, combining the best of both worlds - working from home and spending time in our Halifax office.This is more than just a job - it''s a chance to grow, develop, and be part of something great.What are the core responsibilities?Manage and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.Monitor network systems, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents promptly.Collaborate on the design, implementation, and upgrades of network infrastructure aligned with business needs.Enforce network security measures in line with industry standards and compliance requirements.Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance network efficiency, scalability, and resilience.Maintain accurate technical documentation and engage in continuous learning to stay current with networking tools and methodologies.
What you can bring to the team?Supported large-scale WAN environments across core and regional sites, contributing to infrastructure migrations and technology refresh initiatives.Demonstrated hands-on expertise in configuring and managing routers, switches, wireless networks, firewalls, and F5 load balancers across vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, and Dell.Applied strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a critical, creative, and independent approach to resolving complex network issues.Utilized IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks and network monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Maintained robust network security through knowledge of protocols such as 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, VPNs, NAC, and Zero Trust models.Holds industry certifications including CCNA, CCNP, CCSA/CCSE, JNCIA-MistAI, and F5 Application Delivery and Security.
