Primarily based on Linux across different network layers, you will support the infrastructure that provides the engineering teams with allocation of processing, storage and memory for complex simulation activities. In addition, the team also maintains many applications on the infrastructure, including incident and request management, and maintenance of applications. In your day-to-day activities, you will interact with fellow team members, other suppliers, and various client stakeholders.Key Responsibilities. Application support, including installation and upgrades. Provision of HPC resources (mainly for system engineering, eg Matlab). Infrastructure administration (Red Hat Linux/Kickstart/VM Ware Systems). Information Management, in liaison with support groups (Data Centre Service, Networks). Hardware diagnostics. Shell Scripting.
