SEN Teaching Assistant 90 - 110 per dayASAP - ongoingAbout the RoleAcademics are working closely with a welcoming and supportive educational setting in Canterbury to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs.This role is ideal for someone who is patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential in an inclusive learning environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 support to a pupil with Special Educational NeedsSupport learning, engagement, and emotional regulationWork closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategiesAdapt activities to meet individual learning needsEncourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviourMonitor progress and provide feedback to staffMaintain a safe and supportive learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will HaveExperience working with children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties)A calm, nurturing, and patient approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsThe ability to build positive relationships quicklyA genuine passion for supporting children''s learning and developmentDesirable (but not essential):Previous experience in a school or educational settingRelevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support
