An established international financial services business is looking for an Interim Assistant Accountant to join its Finance team in Paddington. This is a hands-on role supporting month-end reporting, statutory and tax activity, payments, budgets, audit preparation and finance projects across a multi-location environment. The role would suit a capable accounting professional who enjoys variety, can work accurately to deadlines and is comfortable supporting a busy finance function in a regulated, international setting.DutiesSupport monthly finance reporting and ensure recurring month-end tasks are completed accurately and on time.Assist with financial statements, management accounts, ledger management, invoice processing and related finance tasks.Prepare and support corporation tax and VAT return information for review by the tax team.Support the external year-end audit process and help maintain a clean audit trail.Oversee accurate payment processes and support timely payment completion.Provide budget support, ensure significant items are correctly reported and challenge budget holders on spend and variances.Support departmental projects and wider finance initiatives as required.Work in line with internal policies, procedures and financial controls.Ideal candidate profileStrong accounting skills with a good understanding of accounting processes.Experience across statutory accounting, tax accounting and/or financial management.Good Excel skills and intermediate to advanced MS Of
