Assembly Technician

Are you a skilled Technician interested in a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading Aerospace and Defence industry leader as they look to expand their Precision Assembly team working on safety critical components. Main Purpose of the Assembly Technician Working in a traditional engineering environment, you will be responsible for manufacturing high-precision assemblies to exacting tolerances. Using a range of tools and equipment, you will produce components and sub-assemblies to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Utilise critical hand tools, including vernier, micrometer, gauges and other precision measuring equipment, to ensure components meet strict quality standards and detailed specifications. Inspect components and sub-assemblies to verify adherence to specified tolerances and technical requirements. Interpret and follow manufacturing diagrams and assembly plans, ensuring all assembly techniques are accurately executed. Perform precise measurements of components to confirm all assemblies meet tight dimensional tolerances Key Skills and Experiences: Experience gained in a precision engineering, working in a Production, Manufacturing or Assembly role, with knowledge of of complex systems. Ideally qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ level 2, although experience will be considered too.
