Behaviour Mentor
Blue Skies Education are working with a school based in North London to successfully recruit a behaviour mentor to work at this primary school age provision. The children at the provision have documented special education needs and/or disabilities. This can range from neuro-diverse conditions, such as autism or ADHD, to challenging behaviour profiles and early signs of social and emotional mental health. The age range is from 5-11 years of age and the successful behaviour mentor will be working 1:1 or within small groups throughout the school day. What we are looking for: Graduates of psychology, criminology or an education based degree Previous experience working with young people is ideal but not imperative for the right candidate Calm and composed personalities who can remain as such in situations where children demonstrate challenging behaviour Inspirational mentors to children, helping them to enjoy their daily school experience Sound knowledge of Keeping Children Safe in Education (we can help you here!) Natural instinct to keep children safe Reliable and conscientious - this job offers amazing experience but comes swith huge responsibility! If you have an aspiration to teach, move into psychotherapy, child psychology or educational psychology this is the perfect platform to gain valuable skills and build your portfolio to the next level.
