We seek a Projects Control and Commercial Manager with extensive experience in planning large, complex transportation projects, particularly in Rail and Highways, with a strong technical background and professional project management qualification. You will provide comprehensive project controls and commercial support, reporting to the Project Controls and Commercial Director.
Your Purpose
Ensure best practice contract management and cost control on projects.
Deliver project requirements around earned value, change management, and forecasting.
Work with seniors to maintain policies and procedures, ensuring proper application by the commercial team.
Manage change processes, chair change forums, and ensure proper change control.
Support project leaders with technical advice to resolve delays and issues.
Integrate schedule, cost, quality, and risk for project delivery.
Lead cost and project reporting, ensuring accuracy and robustness.
Interpret data in reports to support decision-making.
Coordinate change impact assessments and support program management decisions.
Set objectives, review performance, and provide feedback to team members.
Share lessons learned and best practices within the community.
Assist in preparing for meetings and delivering market insights.
What You Can Bring
Experience in a commercial role within large infrastructure or construction projects, with a professional qualification.
Proficiency in EVM processes and cost, risk, change management, and reporting.
Knowledge of transport infrastructure projects, especially under NEC contracts.
Stakeholder management skills in a matrix environment.
Leadership experience in motivating large project teams.
Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and risk mitigation abilities.
Understanding of public sector policies and political impacts.
