Electrical Design EngineerBedford 40K- 52K per annum OverviewAn established engineering manufacturer is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join its Engineering Department. Reporting to the Electrical Engineering and Automation Team Leader, you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical hardware and control systems for special-purpose industrial machinery. This role offers hands-on involvement across the full project lifecycle-from concept and detailed design through to manufacture, testing, and support.Key ResponsibilitiesConceptual and detailed electrical design of industrial machineryDesign of control systems including variable speed drives, PLCs, and fieldbus systemsConverting written specifications into full electrical designs, including schematic drawings and bills of materialsDesigning systems for manufacture and assemblyLiaising with suppliers on bought-out components and working closely with internal departmentsDeveloping test plans and commissioning proceduresLeading or supporting development and customer projects to agreed timescales and budgetsProviding technical support to sales, service, and production teamsRequirements:Essential:Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and circuit diagramsFamiliarity with EN60204 and EN13849Minimum 1 year''s experience using EPLANStrong communication skills and a collaborative approachProblem-solving mindset with flexib
