Locum Consultant Psychiatrist - West Kent Rehabilitation Service

Overview
As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Rehabilitation Psychiatry based at Albion Place in Kent, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality clinical service and actively involved in the strategic development of the team and broader services. The Kent and Medway Community Rehabilitation Service provides care for those residing in Maidstone, Tonbridge, Malling, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks and will specialise in working with people whose long-term complex needs cannot be met by a general adult mental health service.Successful applicants will ideally have MRCPsych or equivalent and be on, or within six months of inclusion on, the Specialist Register. You will be fully registered with the GMC, and have Approved Clinician status and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act (or achieve this within 3 months of appointment).Main duties
Provide specialist assessment, formulation, treatment, interventions and support to help people recover from complex severe mental illness and (re)gain skills and confidence to live successfully in the community.To be accessible and supportive to team members.To actively participate in service/team evaluation and the planning of future service developments.To create a learning environment for all team members and will take opportunities to offer teaching to the rehabilitation teams, partner services and organisations, and to patients and carers.About us
