Mid-Market Underwriter - Property and Casualty (Chelmsford). Competitive salary. We have an exciting opportunity for a Property and Casualty Midmarket Underwriter (New Business) to join our newly created team in our London Office. You will be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and profitably grow their existing commercial book of business within Aviva.This is a great job for someone who is able to partner with brokers and customers to truly understand their wants and needs, using data insight to ensure we provide whole customer solutions.Responsibilities

As a New Business Underwriter, you will work collaboratively within one of our London Underwriting teams to support both the Senior Underwriter and Team Manager in delivering financials.You will focus on driving new business growth, while also supporting renewals and mid-term adjustments.You will need great organisation and time management skills, including the ability to manage your own diary successfully in a fast-paced environment.A key part of your role will be regularly visiting brokers to develop, build, and strengthen working relationships, ensuring continued visibility in the market and identifying new opportunities to grow our portfolio.Skills and experience

Previous Property and Liability underwriting experienceA strong focus on new business development and conversionThe ability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customersAbility to work collaboratively within a large, complex organisationGood knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation and Strong commercial business insight to create and deliver business casesWhat you''ll get for this role
