About the Company

Red Sky Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor that delivers large-scale infrastructure and complex projects across the UK. With a strong reputation in the industry, they are committed to innovation, quality, and sustainable solutions, and are now looking to strengthen their Scotland Projects Division with an experienced Civils Estimator.

The Role

As a Civils Estimator, you will play a key role in pricing civil engineering works to help secure new projects. You''ll be responsible for preparing accurate budgets, cost advice, and competitive tenders that meet client requirements and deadlines.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the divisional estimating team, drive tendering strategies, and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and colleagues, contributing directly to the growth of the division.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate, detailed, and competitive tenders and budgets.
• Lead the estimating team, ensuring all enquiries and tenders are tracked, acknowledged, and delivered on time.
• Work with the New Business Manager and Divisional Director to propose tendering strategies.
• Attend weekly tender meetings and support PQQ submissions.
• Build and maintain strong client and consultant relationships, promoting repeat business opportunities.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities alongside the New Business Manager.
• Coordinate with the Commercial and Operational teams during tendering and contract negotiations.
• Review tender documents, risks, and engineering options to ensure robust submissions.
• Oversee handover of secured projects to operational and commercial teams.

   

What We''re Looking For:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of pricing civil works and preparing detailed tenders.
• Ability to lead and coordinate multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Capable of identifying innovative and value-engineered solutions
