Software Engineer Salary: 50,000 - 60,000Location: Southampton - Hybrid on site circa 40% Sector: Defence and National Security You will join a leading defence and national security consultancy, working on software for products in the RF communication and sensors domain. You will be responsible for the detailed design, implementation and testing of components of the product software, working with an agile team.There is a degree of flexibility as to the agile tasking within the agile software team, depending on your expertise, the role can flex to focus either on Modern UI design and implementation or Embedded software development. Key ResponsibilitiesDetailed design of components of the product softwareImplementation and testing of software as part of an agile software teamGaining understanding of existing system products and future development agendas. Your skills and experience: BEng/BSc and/or master''s degree in an appropriate engineering, computer science, information systems or related subject.Knowledge of Sensor and Communication systems.Software engineering experience from RandD concept through to the full product development lifecycleModern software architecture practicesExperience of some kind of scientific application/DSP, including algorithm implementationCapability in multiple languages and switching between languages rapidly, e.g. C++/C#/PythonComfortable with modern agile development practices e.g. Scrum/KanbanComfortable with modern software tooling e.g. Gitl
