Traffic Operator - Position Overview Our client is a market-leading provider of integrated road and rail freight logistics, delivering a wide range of services including container transport and storage, domestic distribution, warehousing, freight management, and truck sales. We''re currently recruiting for a Traffic Operator to join their busy depot in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established logistics company, working Monday to Friday, with 1 in every 4 Saturdays required. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate multiple drivers on a daily basisLiaise directly with UK ports to book delivery slotsUse the TOPS transport system to record drivers'' start and finish timesMonitor ETAs and ensure timely deliveriesReroute jobs efficiently when necessaryEnsure all PODs (Proof of Deliveries) are accurately matched with corresponding jobs in the systemCommunicate with customers regarding potential delays and delivery updates Requirements Proven experience as a Traffic Operator - essentialExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong geographical knowledge of the UKAble to work independently and take initiativeQuick thinking and effective problem-solving abilitiesHighly organised and detail-focusedWillingness to be flexible to meet business demands Remuneration and Benefits Salary: 34,000 - 38,000 (dependent on experience)Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 06:00-16:00 or 09:00-19:001 in 4 Saturdays - 06:00-12:00Annual salary review
