We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive team at a primary school located in York. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a real difference in the lives of their pupils. It is to work Monday - Friday full time, from 1st June - 17th July. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, fostering a positive classroom environment, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.Key Responsibilities: Teaching and Learning Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum. Assess, record, and report on pupil''s progress and attainment. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all learners. Curriculum and Assessment Use a range of assessment strategies to inform planning and support pupil progress. Track pupil data and contribute to school-wide monitoring and reporting. Collaboration and Communication Work effectively with teaching assistants, support staff, and other colleagues. Communicate regularly with parents/carers about pupil progress and well-being. Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events. Classroom and Resource Management Organise and maintain a stimulating classroom environment. Ensure resources are used effectively and safely. Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.Professional Development Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.
