Job Title: Customs Clearance Clerk
Location: Haydock (WA12 0HQ)
Salary: £26,000- £30,000 (DOE)
Shifts: Monday- Friday 09:00- 17:30
Contract Type: Permanent

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Customs Clearance Clerk to join our clients ever growing team.

Our client operates European Trailer Services, Bulk Chemical Tanker Service, Freight Forwarding Worldwide, Warehousing, Ocean Freight Service and World Air Freight Service.

Reporting to the Customs Clearance Manager your duties will include the following;

As a Customs Clearance Clerk your duties will be: -

" Preparation of Customs reports for Customers.
" Preparation of Customs Declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).
" Preparation of Export and Import Documentation on CDS for EU Shipments.
" Completion of Supplementary Declarations using Trader Support Service (TSS).
" Liaise with HMRC directly regarding Import/Export issues.
" Maintain and update internal systems to support the movement of goods.
" Ensure accurate and timely lodgement of Customs documentation.
" Liaise with 3rd Party Agents to obtain Customs Clearances.

The successful Customs Clearance Clerk will have the following skills: -

" Minimum 12 months experience in customs procedures both Import and Export.
" Able to work toward and meet deadlines.
" Computer literate.
" Good Knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
" Possess team player qualities.
" Able to plan ahead.
" A proactive attitude.
" Excellent customer service and communication skills.
