Service Advisor - Motor Trade
About the Role
We are looking for a customer-focused and highly organised Service Advisor to join our busy dealership aftersales team. You will be the key link between our customers and the workshop, ensuring each customer receives exceptional service from the moment they book their vehicle in to the moment they collect it.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for delivering outstanding customer care, and previous experience within the motor trade.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, identifying their service and repair needs.
Book vehicles in for servicing, repairs, and MOTs using the dealership''s booking system.
Provide accurate cost estimates and explain work required clearly to customers.
Liaise with the workshop to ensure work is completed on time and to the required standard.
Keep customers updated on progress, costs, and any additional work required.
Prepare invoices and process payments accurately.
Handle customer queries and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
Upsell additional products, services, and maintenance packages where appropriate.
Candidate Profile
Previous experience as a Service Advisor in a dealership or independent garage environment.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
IT literate with experience using Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
Knowledge of vehicle servicing and repair processes.
A proactive, professional, and approachable attitude.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
