Driver Hire Basingstoke and Newbury is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team and work with a highly reputable client based in Hermitage, near Newbury. If you re passionate about driving and delivering top-quality service, this could be the perfect role for you. The Role: Position: Class 2 Delivery Driver Contract: Temp to Perm (12-week temporary period) Start Time: Varies, but generally between 06:00 and 07:00 daily Working Days: Monday to Friday Shift Length: 8 hours per day Responsibilities: Along with daily vehicle checks, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of a range of agricultural products to farms within the allocated area, working with the office and store teams to plan the best delivery route(s). Manual Handling, and Handballing, may be required at some locations to offload the delivery in the absence of farm staff. As deliveries may include a number of chemicals, a strong focus on Health and Safety is also required. Flexibility in working hours outside of peak periods, including overtime will be required, as well as assisting in all the site s operational needs outside of peak times. Skills: Excellent timekeeping and strong customer service abilities are required, as you will be the face of Driver Hire and the company.
