Maintenance Engineer (Night Shift)- The Role:
- Ensure high availability of production machinery and facilities through preventative maintenance and timely repairs
- Maintain machinery in line with TPM schedules and keep equipment in orderly condition
- Carry out first-line fixes to minimise production downtime
- Analyse machine downtime / OEE data to improve performance and uptime
- Minimise maintenance costs while maintaining quality standards
- Support continuous improvement of machinery, production processes, and company procedures
- Participate in project-related activities and improvements
- Provide technical support and advice when required
- Organise and manage spare parts stock efficiently
- Support building services and site maintenance activities
- Mentor and support apprentices
- Adhere to all company policies, including health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
Maintenance Engineer (Night Shift)- The Person:
- HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar maintenance role
- 18th Edition electrical wiring qualification (advantageous)
- Strong fault-finding skills (S5/S7 desirable)
- Experience with PLC automation, safety systems, and control panels
- Knowledge of electro-pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, and machine technology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced production environment
Nightshift hours:
Sunday – 20:50pm - 06:00am
Mon to Thurs – 22:30pm – 06:00am
Located in West Midlands, this role would be commutable from Coventry, Birmingham, Nuneaton, Tamworth and other surrounding areas.
