Accountancy Practice - Small Firm Client Manager
This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in a small to mid-sized practice, who is comfortable managing their own portfolio while also reviewing the work of junior staff. The Role You will take ownership of a varied client portfolio, acting as the main point of contact and delivering a high standard of service across accounts and tax. The role offers a balanced mix of hands-on work and review responsibilities, with genuine scope for progression. Key Responsibilities:Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, including limited companies, LLPs, and sole tradersPreparing and reviewing statutory accounts under UK GAAP (FRS 102/105)Reviewing corporation tax and personal tax workActing as the primary contact for clients, providing ongoing advice and supportReviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing guidance and mentorshipEnsuring deadlines are met across accounts, tax, and compliance workAbout You:ACA or ACCA qualifiedProven experience working within a small or independent accountancy practiceConfident managing client relationships and handling queries directlyComfortable with a mix of preparation and review workStrong technical knowledge across accounts and taxProactive, organised, and able to work with a high degree of autonomyThe Opportunity: This firm offers a collaborative and professional environment where individuals are given responsibility and trust.
