We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to support the delivery of a high-profile public realm and highways scheme in Cambridge. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supervising day-to-day site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with design and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
·Site Supervision: Lead and coordinate operatives and subcontractors to deliver works safely and to programme.
·Work Planning: Support the delivery team in short-term planning, logistics, and resourcing of daily site activities.
·Quality Control: Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.
·Health & Safety: Promote a positive safety culture and ensure strict adherence to CDM regulations and company H&S procedures.
·Team Leadership: Deliver daily briefings, toolbox talks, and safety observations to maintain workforce engagement and compliance.
·Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with Site Engineers, Project Managers, and local authority representatives to manage interfaces and mitigate disruption.
·Site Records: Assist with maintaining accurate site diaries, check sheets, and progress reporting.

Requirements:
·Experience on Highways and/or Public Realm schemes - essential.
·Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods and sequencing.
·Proven ability to lead site teams and manage subcontractors.
·CSCS card - essential.
·SSSTS or SMSTS - desirable.
·Knowledge of temporary works, permits, and traffic management - beneficial.
·Excellent communication and organisational skills.
