Welcome to IFG, we are one of the fastest growing, education catering companies in the country and were recently awarded Education Caterer of the year at the Foodservice Catey Awards.Were not going to bore you with a long list of empty adjectives, we want one simple thing: awesome people to help us feed more children better food.The roleJob Title: Executive Chef/ ManagerSite: Westonbirt School, Tetbury, GL8Working Days: 5 days out of 7- Mainly Monday to Friday with events some weekends, Usual shifts earliest start 6.30am, latest finish 7pm,Shifts and Working hours: 45 hours per weekWorking Weeks: 52 weeks per year (5.6 weeks holiday_Pay Details: £55,000 per year plus company bonusBenefits: Free meals OnShift, uniform, pension and other great company benefitsDuties Include:Managing the kitchen, food production and service points at this prestigious co educational Independent day and boarding schoolThe site caters for 1000 at lunch during the week plus breakfast, supper and weekend feeding for the onsite boarders (around 150 meals per sitting)The site has an onsite Nursery and prep school that are included with the site ( a new kitchen is being built to open in January- you will be part of the openings teamYou will oversee a team of 24 including 6 chefs.As the face of the food you will be responsible for making sure the food operation runs like clockworkYour remit includes people management and kitchen based and this includes; Stock ordering, hospitality menus, staff rotas and food presentation, basic HR and is client based.As the senior manager onsite you work with your team to provide a seamless dining experience for allThe school is open term time, in the school holidays the space is open to familes and for events for holiday lets - only closing across christmasAs Exececutive chef you will be being financially accountable for the unit attaining its GP/COGsMaintaining a high level of food safety and hygiene compliance at all timesYour Background...With proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff you will have managed a team of at least 10 and be used to mutli site delivery pointsAs an experienced executive chef you will have strong technical cooking skills with ideally a background in Independent school catering or volume catering with fine didning events.The ability to work in challenging environments, while maintaining high standards is a mustThis role requies sound organisational skills and strong administrative skills- being able to make sure the right food is in the right place and service runs smoothly across daily dining, events and all hispitality.Whats in it for me?So maybe you fancy working somewhere close to home?With Christmas off?Want to work with fresh, quality produce, in a stunning environment ?You will head up the senior management team as this exclusive locationAs an added bonus a free meal is supplied on shift!
