JR293: HSE Manager

Location: Leatherhead, Surrey 

Salary: £52,630.50 per annum + £6,000 Vehicle Allowance

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a HSE Manager to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Line-manage the HSE Advisor and HSE Coordinator, providing regular 1:1s, objective setting, development plans and performance reviews.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to ensure the team deliver high-quality HSE support.
• Prioritise team workload and coordinate allocation of site visits, investigations and audits.
• Champion a positive safety culture and ensure HSE is embedded in day-to-day operations.
• Influence managers and supervisors to take accountability for safety performance.
• Ensure TBG complies with UK health, safety and environmental legislation (HSWA, RIDDOR, CDM, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, EA regulations, etc.).
• Maintain and update HSE policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
• Oversee documentation produced by the HSE Advisor and HSE Coordinator, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Support the Head of QHSE during any regulatory inspections or enforcement activity.

Skills and Qualifications:

• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Strong operational HSE experience within utilities. Construction,
• Experience working in Engineering or energy environments
• Experience supervising or managing HSE professionals or Technical staff
• Demonstrable experience leading investigations and audits
• Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
• Skilled in risk assessment, permit systems and incident analysis
