We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join our team on a large-scale residential project in Hemel Hempstead. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that construction works are delivered accurately, safely, and in line with project specifications and programme requirements. Key Responsibilities: Setting out and surveying the site in accordance with design drawings and specifications Interpreting technical drawings and ensuring works are carried out to the correct standards Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams to coordinate works Managing and resolving technical queries and discrepancies Monitoring quality control and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and project requirements Overseeing groundworks, drainage, and structural elements of the build Maintaining accurate site records, including as-built drawings and reports Conducting regular site inspections to ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are met Supporting the delivery of the project to agreed timelines and budget Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Engineer, preferably on residential developments Strong understanding of construction methods, setting out, and surveying equipment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Good communication and organisational skills Knowledge of health and safety regulations within construction Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engin
