About the School:

The Maths Department aims to deliver lessons that are clear and purposeful. They are looking for a Maths Teacher to join the team on a full-time, long-term basis-someone who can support learning and contribute to the department''s continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality mathematics lessons that meet the needs of all students, from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4.
- Differentiate lessons to ensure all students can access the curriculum and make progress at their own pace.
- Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and promotes a growth mindset.
- Set and mark homework in line with school policies, providing constructive feedback to students.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining discipline while fostering a supportive atmosphere for learning.
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work and resources within the department.
- Prepare students for GCSE exams, providing targeted support and revision strategies.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the department and staff to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and senior leadership.
- Attend staff meetings, departmental meetings, and school events as required.
- Contribute to the wider school community, participating in extracurricular activities and school initiatives.
Qualifications andamp; Experience:
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching mathematics.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
- Experience using technology in the classroom to enhance learning (interactive whiteboards, educational software).
- A commitment to professional development and a willingness to continuously improve teaching practices.
- An up-to-date Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
