The role involves welding mild steel components ranging from 2mm to 15mm thickness, as well as fabricating steel assemblies for industrial equipment and material handling systems.This is a hands-on, workshop-based position suited to someone with strong MIG welding experience and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to work to high standards in a busy fabrication environment. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and work orders. Prepare steel sections, plates, and profiles for cutting, shaping, and assembly. Perform MIG welding on mild steel components ranging from 2mm to 15mm thickness. Fabricate frames, hoppers, chutes, conveyors, and other steel components for industrial applications. Ensure correct fit-up, alignment, and dimensional accuracy of all components. Grind, drill, and finish parts to meet quality and specification requirements. Perform regular quality checks to ensure welded parts meet industry standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
