Academics are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching assistant to join a vibrant and welcoming two-form entry primary school in Fulham, starting September 2025. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing 1 to 1 support to a child in Year with strong levels of autism and challenging behaviour.

SEN Teaching assistant role working 1 to 1 with a child in Year 2

Location: Primary school in Fulham
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: 3 - days a week
Salary: -95110 (Dependent on experience)

Responsibilities:

• 1 to 1 support to a verbal child with strong levels of autism and behaviour management
• Work with an individual pupil to reinforce learning and help them reach their potential.
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies.
• Monitor progress and document observations to inform teachers and specialists.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists to ensure a consistent and effective support approach.
• Help with personal care tasks if required, such as feeding, toileting, or mobility support.
