(During the night one member of staff is awake, one member of staff is on call). I am a wheelchair user and hoisted for all transfers. I enjoy the company of others and have a good sense of humour. I like to watch TV, listen to podcasts and go out into the community, eg attending hydrotherapy. I have complex physical and cognitive difficulties and receive input from a multi-disciplinary team of therapists. I m unable to communicate verbally and have all my feeds via a PEG. I would like my support workers to be warm, patient and reliable, to encourage and support me to access all of my rehabilitation opportunities and help me to maximise my quality of life.
