School Site Supervisor

— Location: East London; Job Type: Full-time; Working Hours: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday; Pay: £16 - £19 per hour.We are seeking a dedicated experienced School Caretaker to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the school premises, ensuring a safe and clean environment for staff and students. This role requires a proactive individual who takes pride in their work and can manage a variety of tasks efficiently.Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of the school premises to identify maintenance needs.Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, and painting.Ensure the security of the school buildings by managing access points and key distribution.Maintain the cleanliness of the school grounds, including litter picking and managing waste disposal.Set up furniture and equipment for school events and rearrange as required.Liaise with external contractors for specialised maintenance work.Respond to emergency call-outs and resolve issues promptly.Monitor heating and lighting systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.Adhere to health and safety policies and report any concerns to the school management.Qualifications

Previous experience in caretaking or facilities maintenance (alternatively if you have maintenance or handyperson experience that will also be sufficient).Good practical skills in handling repairs and maintenance tasks.Knowledge of health and safety regulations.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Good communication and interpersonal skills.A willingness to undergo a DBS check.Benefits
