THE OPPORTUNITY:
Red Rock is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering business based in the heart of the Black Country.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Buyer to support their busy operations team. This is a brand new, stand-alone role- so there is lots of full autonomy and lots of opportunity to make the role your own!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Source and purchase materials, products, and services required for engineering operations
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to ensure value for money
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality standards are met
- Keep accurate inventory and procurement records
- Work with internal departments to manage stock levels and delivery schedules
- Track market trends and implement cost-saving strategies
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
THE CANDIDATE:
- Background in procurement or purchasing within the commercial engineering sector
- Able to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with SAGE systems
- GCSEs or equivalent qualification
- Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive
