SEMH Teaching Assistant - Specialist Support RoleLocation: EnfieldStart Date: 13th April 2026Daily Rate: 95- 115 per day (dependent on experience)We are currently seeking dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in a dynamic and nurturing educational setting.This is a highly impactful role where your ability to build trust, provide consistency, and understand behaviour through a trauma-informed lens will be essential.About the RoleYou will be working closely with students who may have experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma, or significant emotional challenges. Your role will involve supporting them both academically and emotionally, helping them to regulate, engage, and succeed within the school environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needsBuild strong, trusting relationships with studentsSupport emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategiesWork closely with teaching staff and pastoral teamsImplement individual support plans and interventionsMaintain a calm, consistent, and safe learning environmentEssential RequirementsProven experience working with children or young people with SEMH needsStrong understanding of trauma-informed practiceAbility to de-escalate challenging behaviours calmly and effectivelyResilient, patient, and emotionally intelligent approachExperience in schools, PRUs, alternative provisions, or care settingsStr
