Finance Data Analyst (m/f/d)

emagine .We are seeking a Finance Data Analyst to support a strategic initiative aimed at modernizing accounting systems and enhancing global financial decision-making. This role is central to delivering accurate, compliant, and actionable financial data across multiple business entities, with a focus on sub-ledger implementation and alignment with international accounting standards such as IFRS.Initial contract details: 6 months, on-site engagement, rate £300 per day.emagine is a high-end professional services consultancy and solutions firm specialising in providing business and technology services to the financial services sector.Key Responsibilities

Participate in all phases of the project development lifecycle, from planning to delivery.Gather, document, and validate both business and IT requirements.Propose and present business solutions based on data-driven insights.Translate technical and non-technical requirements into clear, actionable deliverables for stakeholders.Challenge assumptions and validate decisions using financial data expertise.Facilitate and contribute to cross-functional workshops with internal teams.Conduct system and integration testing to ensure accuracy and compliance.Identify, assess, and escalate project risks and issues to management proactively.Must-Have Qualifications

Solid foundation in finance and accounting principles.Proven experience implementing sub-ledger systems in large-scale organizations.Advanced data analysis, mapping, and process documentation skills.Working knowledge of IFRS and its application in financial systems.Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience improving data quality and implementing governance practices.Familiarity with technology implementations and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Understanding of financial instruments, including loans and derivatives.Our People
